Every month, Singapore business owners ask us what they should budget for SEO.
The cost of SEO in Singapore depends on the scope, competition and provider you choose. A local search campaign may start around S$599 a month, while a mid-tier retainer can pass S$1,400 before GST. Search engine optimisation is a long-term marketing investment, not a fixed product, so the useful question is what you are paying for each month.
Published prices also step up by countable units such as keyphrases: S$800 for 20 keyphrases is S$40 each per month, while S$2,300 for 120 is about S$19. That is why two Singapore SEO quotes at the same number can buy very different amounts of work.
This guide explains current market prices, the factors that move them, how GST and the EDGE Grant change the final invoice, and how to compare packages without overpaying. In this blog, we discuss the numbers, the questions to ask, and the grant route that changed on 30 September 2026.

What Should SEO Cost in Singapore in 2026?
The published monthly SEO packages in our Singapore market sample range from S$599 for a local SEO package to S$2,300 for a top-tier retainer. If you want to see how these tiers translate into deliverables, our guide to local SEO packages unpacks the tailored strategies for your market. Some providers describe basic agency packages at S$400 to S$700 a month, while entry freelance support can start around S$200 to S$400. These are asking prices, not standard products, so the keyphrase count is often the clearest unit of comparison.
The table below shows published monthly fees read from supplier pages on 26 October 2026. It is a market sample, not a quote. When we review proposals, we compare what is delivered for the fee, not the label of the package.
Our published price list starts at S$550 a month for 10 keywords and includes web development and design support. For a broader campaign, our 20-keyword plan is S$750 and our 30-keyword plan is S$950.

What Are the Main SEO Pricing Models in Singapore?
Most agencies sell SEO services as a monthly retainer, a fixed project, or hourly consulting. A retainer spreads work over time and is common for businesses that want steady rankings growth.
1. Monthly Retainer
This is the model most Singapore businesses choose. It typically includes white-hat search engine optimisation, content, technical fixes and monthly reporting. Monthly SEO services work best when you want ongoing visibility in a competitive market.
2. Project-Based SEO
Although SEO is an ongoing investment, a project quote covers a fixed-scope deliverable, such as a website audit, technical cleanup or a content refresh. It is useful when you know exactly what needs fixing, but it usually does not include long-term monitoring.
3. Hourly or Ad-Hoc Consulting
Hourly billing suits a specific question or a second opinion. Some firms use it for keyword research or analytics setup. It can be practical, but it may not give you a full campaign.
What Factors Move SEO Pricing in Singapore Up or Down?
SEO pricing changes with your industry, your site condition and the results you need. A new site with no authority usually needs more work than an established domain with existing traffic.
1. Competitive Landscape
The harder the keywords are to win, the more time and content are required. Finance, legal and clinical topics tend to need stronger authority signals, which can raise cost.
2. Scope of Work
A package limited to on-page SEO costs less than one that adds content, link earning, local citations and conversion tracking. More deliverables usually mean a higher monthly fee.
3. Website Starting Point
A site with crawl errors, slow page speed or thin pages needs more initial technical work. A well-built site can move faster and may need a lighter technical retainer.
4. Content Production
Original, helpful content is a major part of Singapore SEO success. The number of articles, pages or product descriptions in scope moves the monthly price.
5. Reporting and Account Management
Monthly calls, dashboards and senior strategist time add cost. Ask what reporting you will actually receive, because not all premium packages include the same detail.
SEO Marketing Singapore Monthly Plans (October 2026)
| Plan | Monthly fee (SGD) | Keywords | Blog content |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10KW | S$550 | 10 | 3 to 5 pieces |
| 20KW | S$750 | 20 | 5 to 8 pieces |
| 30KW | S$950 | 30 | 8 to 10 pieces |
How Do GST and Grants Change the Real Price You Pay?
Two Singapore-specific rules decide what the invoice actually says: GST and the grant route you use.
IRAS states the current GST rate in Singapore is 9 per cent. A quote of S$1,400 a month becomes S$1,526 with GST, while S$2,300 becomes S$2,507. Over a 12-month term, the gap on the top tier is more than one month of the entry tier.
The table below shows the GST arithmetic for common SEO package prices. A supplier below S$1 million in taxable turnover may not need to register, but can register voluntarily or may need to register based on expected turnover. Only GST-registered suppliers can charge GST, so check whether it is included in the quote. Ask for the GST registration number and the quote both with and without GST.
1. GST Arithmetic
Check whether the monthly fee is inclusive or exclusive of GST. If you are GST-registered, you may be able to claim input tax, but only if the supplier is registered and the invoice is proper.
2. EDGE Grant After PSG Closure
The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) route under Enterprise Singapore closed to new applications on 29 September 2026. EDGE launched on 30 September 2026 and now covers digital marketing as one of the single-function digital solutions in the automation and digitalisation area.
GoBusiness grants FAQ states that existing projects continue to be processed and claims may be submitted upon completion. For a new project, use EDGE. Enterprise Singapore's EDGE portal says support levels differ by activity, with digital marketing support in October 2026 shown as up to 50 per cent for SMEs and up to 30 per cent for non-SMEs. Up to S$100,000 of total grant support applies across all activities per year, with a S$30,000 sub-cap for single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. Support is reimbursed after the activity is completed and fully paid; claims for single-function digital solutions open on 1 December 2026.
For EDGE's digital marketing activity, choose a pre-approved vendor through IMDA's SMEs Go Digital programme and ask for a fresh quote. An old PSG price is not an EDGE cost. Check that the vendor and package are pre-approved and that the proposed SEO work is eligible before relying on grant support.
What 9% GST Does to a Monthly SEO Quote

|---|---|---|
| S$550 | S$49.50 | S$599.50 |

| S$950 | S$85.50 | S$1,035.50 |
| S$1,400 | S$126.00 | S$1,526.00 |
| S$2,300 | S$207.00 | S$2,507.00 |

How Should You Compare SEO Packages Without Overpaying?
Compare the same three things on every quote: deliverables, keyphrase count, and the people doing the work. Do not rely on tier names like starter or basic, because those words mean different things at different agencies.
1. Read the Deliverables, Not the Tier Name
Ask for a written monthly scope: which pages will be optimised, what content will be created, what technical work is included, and which reports you will receive.
2. Check Keyphrase Count and Reporting
A plan that targets 20 keyphrases at S$750 is one price per keyphrase. A plan that targets 30 at S$950 is another. Confirm whether the keyphrases are local, commercial and realistically winnable.
3. Ask Who Fulfils the Work
For a grant-supported digital marketing package, confirm that the supplier is pre-approved and ask who will fulfil the work.
4. Confirm GST and Grant Status in Writing
Get the GST registration number, the quote with and without GST, and written confirmation of EDGE eligibility before you sign. See our frequently asked questions for more checks.
Conclusion
SEO cost in Singapore is not a single number. It is a range that shifts with your market, your site, the keyphrases you target and the vendor you choose. In our October 2026 sample, monthly packages run from S$599 to S$2,300 before GST. Freelance support can start at S$200 to S$400, while our plans start at S$550 a month.
For a Singapore business, the important step is to compare packages on deliverables rather than labels. Check the keyword count, the content and technical scope, who performs the work, and whether the invoice includes 9 per cent GST. If you are using a grant, confirm that your chosen vendor is approved under the EDGE Grant and that the activity list covers your project.
